NZT Power Construction

Building work on the NZT Power and associated NEP infrastructure will be completed by nine leading engineering, procurement, and construction contractors across eight contract packages with a combined value of around £4bn.

Engineering, Procurement and Construction work of on power plant, carbon capture, and CO₂ compression units is being undertaken by a consortium of world class companies led by Technip Energies:

Technip Energies

Technip Energies leads the consortium to deliver the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contract for NZT Power. NZT Power will utilise Technip Energies’ reliable post-combustion carbon capture solution Canopy by T.EN™ powered by Shell’s CANSOLV® CO2 Capture System.


GE Vernova

will deliver the combined cycle gas turbine power plant including an advanced 9HA.02 gas turbine, steam turbine, generator, heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) and Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) system


Balfour Beatty

Balfour Beatty is the principal construction partner that will build the large-scale combined cycle gas-powered generation plant for Net Zero Teesside Power and the post combustion carbon capture system for the project.


Shell Catalysts & Technologies

provides the carbon capture technology, CANSOLV® CO₂ Capture System, at the heart of the Canopy by T.EN™ solution
